In a thrilling Week 12 showdown, the New York Jets narrowly defeated the Miami Dolphins with a final score of 36-33, keeping their playoff hopes alive in the tightly contested 2026 season. Both teams fought hard in this high-stakes matchup, but it was the Jets who managed to come out on top in a nail-biter. Colin Kaepernick was the star for the Jets, throwing for four touchdowns and showcasing his ability to lead his team in crucial moments. Garrett Wilson was a standout target, racking up an impressive 224 receiving yards, proving to be Kaepernick's go-to weapon in the passing game. On the other side, Malik Willis kept the Dolphins competitive with 342 passing yards, but ultimately, it wasn’t enough to secure a win. Defensively, the Jets made significant plays, highlighted by Will McDonald IV's 2.5 sacks that disrupted Miami's offensive rhythm throughout the game. The turning point came late in the fourth quarter when a critical sack by McDonald led to a pivotal turnover, giving the Jets the chance to seal the victory. Demario Davis also contributed with 10 total tackles, providing a strong defensive presence that helped the Jets hold off the Dolphins in the final moments of the game.
