In a decisive Week 18 showdown, the New England Patriots overwhelmed the Buffalo Bills with a commanding 42-7 victory, solidifying their playoff positioning as the season comes to a close. The Patriots demonstrated their dominance, showcasing a high-powered offense that left the Bills struggling to keep up. Drake Maye was the star of the night, throwing for an impressive 414 yards and five touchdowns, effectively dismantling the Bills' secondary. Randy Moss emerged as his favorite target, racking up 154 receiving yards, while TreVeyon Henderson contributed a solid ground game, adding 89 rushing yards to complement the aerial assault. The Patriots' offensive efficiency was a key factor in their triumph. On the defensive side, the Patriots also made an impact, with Milton Williams leading the charge by recording 1.5 sacks. Although the Bills managed to accumulate some individual defensive stats, such as Ben Wilds' nine total tackles, they struggled to contain New England's explosive offense. The turning point came early in the second quarter when Maye connected on a deep touchdown pass to Moss, setting the tone for a night of dominance.
