The Los Angeles Rams secured a commanding 35-17 victory over the Washington Commanders in Week 9 of the 2026 season, showcasing their offensive prowess and solidifying their place in the playoff race. With both teams vying for critical positioning, this matchup had significant implications for their postseason aspirations. Matthew Stafford led the charge for the Rams, throwing for 254 yards and connecting for three touchdowns, while Kyren Williams showcased his speed and agility with 86 rushing yards. On the other side, Jayden Daniels managed to throw for a touchdown but struggled to keep pace with the Rams' high-octane attack, as Washington’s offense was unable to match the firepower. Defensively, the Rams’ Omar Speights stood out with eight total tackles, helping to stifle the Commanders' offensive efforts. The game turned decisively in the Rams' favor when they capitalized on a key turnover in the second quarter, leading to a quick touchdown that shifted the momentum. Meanwhile, Dorance Armstrong’s 3.5 sacks for Washington highlighted a strong individual performance, but it was not enough to alter the outcome as the Rams' offense continued to dominate throughout the contest.
