The Denver Broncos secured a convincing 28-13 victory over the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 5 of the 2026 season, solidifying their position within the competitive AFC West. With playoff aspirations on the line, this matchup was crucial for both teams looking to gain momentum as the season progresses. Bo Nix led the Broncos' offensive charge, throwing for 146 yards and two touchdowns, showcasing his ability to capitalize on scoring opportunities. Meanwhile, J.K. Dobbins dominated on the ground, amassing 120 rushing yards, consistently breaking through the Chargers' defense to keep the chains moving. Despite a valiant effort from Ladd McConkey, who recorded 91 receiving yards for the Chargers, it wasn't enough to swing the game in their favor. Defensively, Denver's unit stifled the Chargers' attack, limiting their scoring opportunities and forcing them into unfavorable situations. Khalil Mack registered 1.5 sacks, applying pressure on the quarterback, while Malik Harrison's interception and leading tackle count of six were bright spots for Los Angeles. The turning point came when the Broncos capitalized on a key turnover late in the second quarter, allowing them to extend their lead and control the tempo of the game.
