In a thrilling Week 5 matchup, the Cleveland Browns narrowly defeated the New York Jets by a score of 27-22. This victory keeps the Browns firmly in the playoff hunt as they continue to build momentum through the 2026 season. The Jets, on the other hand, will need to regroup as they seek to turn their fortunes around. Cleveland's offense was spearheaded by quarterback Taylen Green, who threw for 254 yards and two touchdowns, showcasing his capability to lead the team downfield. Running back Quinshon Judkins also made a significant impact, rushing for 103 yards and providing the Browns with a balanced offensive attack. The combination of Green's precision passing and Judkins' ground game proved too much for the Jets to handle. Defensively, the Browns made key plays that shifted the momentum in their favor, particularly through the efforts of Kenny Moore II, who recorded seven total tackles, and Carson Schwesinger, who snagged an interception. The turning point came late in the fourth quarter when Moore's tackle stopped a critical Jets drive, allowing the Browns to maintain their lead and secure the victory. With this win, Cleveland continues to assert itself as a contender in the league.
