The Minnesota Vikings secured a decisive 32-17 victory over the New Orleans Saints in Week 5 of the 2026 season, solidifying their position in the playoff race. The win was crucial for the Vikings as they look to maintain momentum in a highly competitive NFC North. Kyler Murray led the charge for Minnesota with a solid performance, throwing for 172 yards while connecting with standout receiver Jordan Addison, who racked up 76 receiving yards. On the ground, the Vikings' offense found balance, but it was the Saints' Travis Etienne Jr. who stole the show with 107 rushing yards, keeping New Orleans competitive throughout the contest. Defensively, the Vikings made their mark with Andrew Van Ginkel's two sacks, disrupting the Saints' offensive rhythm. The turning point came in the second half when Minnesota's defense forced a critical turnover, allowing the Vikings to extend their lead and ultimately seal the game. Despite strong efforts from Kaden Elliss, who recorded seven tackles for New Orleans, it wasn't enough to reclaim control in a game where the Vikings' defense proved pivotal.
