In a tightly contested matchup, the Jacksonville Jaguars narrowly defeated the Denver Broncos 13-7 in Week 2 of the 2026 season. Both teams fought hard for an early-season victory, but it was the Jaguars who emerged victorious, making a crucial statement as they look to establish themselves in the league. Trevor Lawrence led the Jaguars' offense with a key touchdown pass, while Bhayshul Tuten carried the ground game with 75 rushing yards, providing a balanced attack that kept the Broncos' defense on their toes. For the Broncos, Bo Nix put up solid numbers with 195 passing yards, but his efforts were not enough to clinch the win. Troy Franklin was a standout receiver, racking up 84 yards, yet the offense struggled to find the end zone. Defensively, the Jaguars made their presence felt with Josh Hines-Allen registering two sacks, disrupting the Broncos' rhythm throughout the game. The turning point came in the second half when the Jaguars' defense stifled a potential scoring drive from Denver, allowing Jacksonville to maintain their slim lead. Despite a strong performance from Alex Singleton, who tallied seven tackles for the Broncos, it was the Jaguars' defense that ultimately secured the hard-fought victory.
