In a thrilling Week 2 matchup of the 2026 season, the Green Bay Packers narrowly defeated the New York Jets by a score of 28-24. Both teams entered the game looking to build momentum early in the season, but it was the Packers who emerged victorious in a contest that kept fans on the edge of their seats until the final whistle. Leading the charge for Green Bay was quarterback Jordan Love, who threw for 282 yards and contributed crucial offensive plays. Running back Josh Jacobs added to the offensive onslaught with 83 rushing yards, while Christian Watson showcased his skills with a standout performance, racking up 106 receiving yards. The Packers' balanced attack proved too much for the Jets to handle. Defensively, the Packers made their mark with Lukas Van Ness recording two sacks, providing constant pressure on the Jets' quarterback. Although the Jets’ Andre Cisco led all players with seven tackles, the critical moments came in the fourth quarter when Green Bay's defense stifled New York’s efforts to mount a comeback. With Minkah Fitzpatrick's interception unable to shift the momentum, the Packers held off the Jets, sealing their hard-fought victory.
