In a crucial Week 17 matchup, the Las Vegas Raiders topped the Arizona Cardinals 30-21, solidifying their playoff ambitions while denying the Cardinals a chance to gain ground in the standings. Both teams fought fiercely, but it was the Raiders who emerged victorious in a game that had major implications for postseason positioning. Fernando Mendoza led the Raiders' offense with a strong performance, throwing for 292 yards and keeping the chains moving effectively. He found his favorite target, Dont'e Thornton Jr., who racked up 105 receiving yards, creating mismatches throughout the game. Carson Beck kept the Cardinals competitive, throwing two touchdowns, while Jeremiyah Love made a significant impact on the ground with 86 rushing yards. On the defensive side, the Raiders were anchored by Darien Porter, who recorded seven total tackles, helping to stifle the Cardinals' offensive efforts. The turning point came in the second half when the Raiders' defense forced a crucial turnover that allowed Mendoza to capitalize and extend their lead. Despite Zaven Collins' impressive three sacks for Arizona, it was the Raiders' consistent defensive pressure that ultimately secured the victory.
