In a pivotal Week 16 matchup, the Kansas City Chiefs topped the San Francisco 49ers 28-14, solidifying their playoff aspirations as the regular season winds down. With this victory, the Chiefs not only maintained their momentum but also demonstrated their offensive prowess against a tough opponent. Patrick Mahomes was the standout performer for Kansas City, throwing for 240 yards and three touchdowns, showcasing his elite playmaking ability. Jeff Caldwell contributed significantly with 71 receiving yards, proving to be a reliable target in critical moments. Meanwhile, Kenneth Walker led the ground game with 23 rushing yards, providing just enough balance to keep the 49ers' defense on their toes. Defensively, the Chiefs made key plays that shifted the game's momentum. Jadon Canady's two interceptions were instrumental in stifling any potential San Francisco comeback, while Chris Jones added pressure with a sack that disrupted the 49ers' rhythm. The turning point came in the second half when Canady's second pick set up a quick touchdown, allowing Kansas City to extend their lead and ultimately secure the win.
