The Pittsburgh Steelers secured a commanding 42-14 victory over the Los Angeles Rams in Week 2 of the 2027 season, showcasing their offensive prowess and solidifying their position early in the campaign. With both teams aiming to establish momentum, the Steelers delivered a performance that left no doubt about their intentions this year. Leading the charge for Pittsburgh was quarterback Drew Allar, who threw for 265 yards and four touchdowns, demonstrating precision and poise throughout the game. Eli Heidenreich added a strong ground game with 76 rushing yards, while DK Metcalf was the standout receiver, racking up 95 yards in the air. Together, they formed an offensive juggernaut that kept the Rams’ defense on its heels. On the defensive side, the Rams struggled to contain the Steelers' explosive offense, despite standout performances from Nate Landman, who recorded six total tackles, and Quentin Lake, who notched two sacks. The turning point came early in the second quarter when Allar connected with Metcalf for a deep touchdown, shifting the momentum firmly in Pittsburgh’s favor. The Rams' inability to respond meant they were forced to play catch-up for the rest of the game, ultimately sealing their fate.
