In a commanding display, the Kansas City Chiefs topped the Denver Broncos 48-10 in Week 8 of the 2026 season. With this victory, the Chiefs solidified their position in the playoff race, showcasing their offensive firepower and defensive prowess against a struggling Broncos squad. Patrick Mahomes was the star of the night, throwing for an impressive 465 yards and six touchdowns, proving once again why he is considered one of the elite quarterbacks in the league. His favorite target, Jeff Caldwell, racked up 118 receiving yards, while RJ Harvey led the Broncos in rushing with 131 yards, but it was clear that the Chiefs' offensive machine was firing on all cylinders. Defensively, the Chiefs put on a clinic, with Drue Tranquill leading the way with five total tackles. George Karlaftis contributed significantly with 1.5 sacks, disrupting the Broncos' rhythm throughout the game. The turning point came early in the second quarter when Mahomes connected for a touchdown, establishing a lead the Broncos couldn’t overcome, as the Chiefs' defense continued to stifle any hope of a comeback.
