In a commanding performance, the Detroit Lions blanked the Buffalo Bills 41-0 in Week 2 of the 2026 season, showcasing their dominance on both sides of the ball. The Lions entered the game looking to assert themselves early, and they did just that, leaving the Bills searching for answers throughout the contest. Jared Goff was the star of the show for Detroit, throwing for 172 yards and four touchdowns, effectively spreading the ball around to keep the Buffalo defense on its heels. Jahmyr Gibbs added a solid ground game with 100 rushing yards, while Amon-Ra St. Brown led the receiving corps with 94 yards, creating mismatches that the Bills could not contain. Defensively, the Lions imposed their will, highlighted by Tyleik Williams' sack and Brian Branch’s interception, which further stifled any momentum Buffalo hoped to build. The turning point came early in the second quarter when Branch's pick set up Goff’s third touchdown pass, effectively sealing the game and sending a strong message that the Lions are a force to be reckoned with this season.
