In an explosive Week 3 matchup, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers dominated the Minnesota Vikings with a final score of 65-35, solidifying their place as a formidable contender early in the 2026 season. The Bucs' high-powered offense was on full display, showcasing their ability to score in bunches and leaving the Vikings struggling to keep pace. Leading the charge for Tampa Bay was quarterback Baker Mayfield, who threw for an impressive 401 yards and four touchdowns, demonstrating both precision and power in his passing game. Bucky Irving added to the offensive onslaught with 92 rushing yards, while the Vikings' Jordan Addison had a standout performance with 237 receiving yards, though it wasn't enough to turn the tide in his team's favor. Defensively, the Buccaneers made key plays that shifted momentum, highlighted by Alex Anzalone's interception that stifled a Vikings drive in the first half. Despite the Vikings' efforts on defense, including Andrew Van Ginkel's sack and Eric Wilson's nine tackles, they were unable to contain the relentless Tampa Bay attack. The turning point came in the second quarter when Mayfield connected with his receivers for a pair of quick touchdowns, effectively putting the game out of reach for Minnesota.
