In a strong opening to the 2026 season, the Houston Texans topped the Buffalo Bills with a final score of 28-14. The Texans came into the game eager to set the tone for the year, and they did just that, showcasing their offensive prowess and defensive tenacity. C.J. Stroud led the charge for Houston, throwing for 242 yards and two touchdowns, establishing himself as a key player right from the start. Isiah Pacheco contributed significantly on the ground with 77 rushing yards, while Tank Dell was a standout in the air, racking up an impressive 143 receiving yards. This offensive firepower was too much for the Bills to handle as Houston found the end zone consistently. Defensively, the Texans made their presence felt, with Jalen Pitre leading the team with six tackles and Danielle Hunter recording two sacks, putting pressure on the Bills' offense throughout the game. A pivotal moment came when Kamari Ramsey intercepted a pass, shifting momentum back to Houston and stifling any hopes of a Buffalo comeback. With a solid performance on both sides of the ball, the Texans demonstrated they are ready to compete this season.
