In a high-octane season opener, the Baltimore Ravens triumphed over the Indianapolis Colts with a final score of 49-36. Both teams were eager to kick off the 2026 season strong, but it was the Ravens who showcased their offensive prowess and emerged victorious. Lamar Jackson was nothing short of spectacular, throwing for 436 yards and five touchdowns while also leading the ground attack with 92 rushing yards. His electrifying performance kept the Colts' defense on their heels, allowing Baltimore to establish a commanding lead. On the other side, Alec Pierce shone for Indianapolis, racking up 160 receiving yards and putting up a valiant effort in an ultimately losing cause. Defensively, the Colts struggled to contain Jackson, who consistently exploited vulnerabilities in their coverage. Though DeForest Buckner recorded a sack and Charvarius Ward Sr. nabbed two interceptions, the Colts could not capitalize on those turnovers effectively. The turning point came in the second quarter when Jackson connected on a 75-yard touchdown pass, shifting momentum firmly in favor of the Ravens and setting the tone for the rest of the game.
