In a thrilling Week 9 showdown, the Jacksonville Jaguars narrowly defeated the Baltimore Ravens by a score of 39-31. With playoff implications on the line, both teams fought hard, but it was Jacksonville that emerged victorious, solidifying their position in the postseason race. Jahmyr Gibbs was the standout performer for the Jaguars, rushing for an impressive 136 yards and contributing significantly to the team's offensive output. Quarterback Jayden Daniels also played a pivotal role, throwing for two touchdowns and keeping the Ravens' defense on their heels. Lamar Jackson led the Ravens with 253 passing yards, but it wasn't enough to overcome the Jaguars' explosive offense. Defensively, the Jaguars made key plays that helped swing momentum in their favor. Javon Bullard registered a crucial sack, putting pressure on Jackson when it mattered most, while Quay Walker's interception showcased the Ravens' defensive prowess. However, it was ultimately a late-game defensive stand by Jacksonville that sealed the victory, allowing them to hold off a furious Ravens comeback attempt.
