In a high-stakes Week 7 matchup, the New York Jets topped the Miami Dolphins 29-16, solidifying their position in the playoff race. The victory was crucial as both teams vie for a favorable playoff spot, making this win even sweeter for the Jets at home. Offensively, it was a standout performance from both quarterbacks, with Justin Fields throwing for 234 yards and two touchdowns for Miami. However, it was Travis Etienne Jr. who stole the show for the Jets, rushing for an impressive 118 yards, helping to control the tempo of the game. Meanwhile, Dolphins receiver Jameson Williams shined with 137 receiving yards, but it wasn't enough to secure a win. Defensively, the Jets managed to disrupt Fields' rhythm just enough, highlighted by Will McDonald IV's sack that came at a critical moment in the second half. The turning point of the game came when the Jets forced a turnover late in the third quarter, allowing them to extend their lead and ultimately seal the victory. The Dolphins struggled to respond, and the Jets capitalized on every opportunity, showcasing a balanced effort on both sides of the ball.
