In a high-scoring showdown, the San Francisco 49ers defeated the Atlanta Falcons 45-31, solidifying their position in the playoff race during Week 7 of the 2026 season. The 49ers' explosive offense showcased their prowess, while the Falcons struggled to keep pace, ultimately falling short in a game that featured numerous highlight-reel moments. Joe Flacco led the charge for San Francisco, throwing for an impressive 454 yards and five touchdowns, demonstrating pinpoint accuracy and a strong command of the offense. His favorite target, Cooper Kupp, was nearly unstoppable, racking up 304 receiving yards, making him a nightmare for the Falcons' defense. Meanwhile, Josh Jacobs performed admirably for Atlanta, contributing 94 rushing yards, but it wasn't enough to shift the momentum in their favor. On the defensive side, Bobby Wagner was a standout for the 49ers, registering nine total tackles and 1.5 sacks, effectively disrupting Atlanta's rhythm. The game's turning point came late in the second quarter when Wagner's pressure on the quarterback forced a crucial turnover, allowing San Francisco to capitalize and extend their lead. The 49ers' defense maintained control throughout the contest, ensuring that their offense could continue to thrive.
