In a tightly contested matchup, the New Orleans Saints narrowly defeated the New York Giants 17-14 in Week 6 of the 2026 season. The stakes were high as both teams sought to solidify their playoff positions, making every possession crucial in this nail-biter. Jaxson Dart led the Saints' offense with a strong performance, throwing for 243 yards and connecting with Rashid Shaheed, who racked up 84 receiving yards. The Giants' Tyler Shough contributed with a touchdown pass, but it wasn't enough to overcome the Saints' efficient passing game. Bucky Irving also made a notable impact, rushing for 64 yards, keeping the Giants' offense competitive throughout the game. Defensively, Danielle Hunter was a standout for the Saints, recording two sacks that were pivotal in disrupting the Giants' rhythm. The game's turning point came late in the fourth quarter when Hunter's pressure forced a crucial turnover on downs, allowing the Saints to maintain their slim lead. Patrick Queen's eight tackles for the Giants highlighted their defensive efforts, but it ultimately wasn't enough to secure the win at home.
