In a decisive Week 6 battle, the Houston Texans topped the Jacksonville Jaguars with a final score of 34-15, solidifying their position in the playoff race. The Texans' victory was highlighted by a standout performance from Sam Darnold, who showcased his passing prowess in a game that was critical for both teams' aspirations this season. Darnold threw for 164 yards and four touchdowns, leading a potent Texans offense that also featured a strong ground game from Keaton Mitchell, who rushed for 106 yards. The combination of Darnold's accurate passes and Mitchell's explosive runs kept the Jaguars' defense on their heels, allowing Houston to build an insurmountable lead. Defensively, the Texans made significant contributions to the outcome, with Cam Hart leading the team with five total tackles and Jeremy Chinn securing an interception. The turning point came early in the second half when Chinn's pick thwarted a potential Jaguars scoring drive, allowing Houston to capitalize and extend their lead, ultimately sealing the game.
