In a Week 5 showdown, the Philadelphia Eagles topped the Jacksonville Jaguars with a commanding 38-14 victory, solidifying their position in the playoff race. The Eagles' offense was relentless, showcasing their ability to capitalize on opportunities against a struggling Jaguars team. Leading the charge for the Eagles was Jacory Croskey-Merritt, who rushed for 112 yards, consistently finding gaps in the Jaguars' defense. Jayden Daniels of Jacksonville put up respectable numbers with 216 passing yards and a touchdown, but it was not enough to keep pace with the Eagles' explosive offensive performance. Alec Pierce shone for the Jaguars as well, racking up 125 receiving yards, but his efforts were overshadowed by the Eagles' balanced attack. Defensively, Jonathon Cooper was a standout for Philadelphia, contributing five total tackles along with an impressive four sacks that disrupted Jacksonville's rhythm throughout the game. The turning point came in the second quarter when Cooper’s relentless pressure forced a critical turnover, shifting momentum firmly in favor of the Eagles. Alohi Gilman also made his mark with an interception, further sealing the fate of the Jaguars and ensuring a dominant win for Philadelphia.
