The Indianapolis Colts topped the Washington Commanders 38-20 in a decisive Week 4 matchup of the 2026 season. With both teams vying for momentum early in the season, the Colts delivered a strong performance to secure their place in the playoff conversation. Leading the charge for Indianapolis was quarterback Cam Ward, who threw for 199 yards, while his counterpart, Caleb Williams, found the end zone three times through the air for Washington. Running back Ashton Jeanty added 71 rushing yards to the mix, and Emeka Egbuka was a reliable target, also racking up 71 receiving yards. Defensively, the Colts made key plays to stymie the Commanders’ offense, highlighted by Jalen Pitre's interception that shifted momentum early in the game. Indianapolis's ability to create turnovers and limit big plays was crucial, particularly as they held off a late surge from Washington, effectively sealing their victory.
