In a thrilling Week 1 matchup of the 2027 season, the Cincinnati Bengals narrowly defeated the Denver Broncos with a final score of 34-33. Both teams showcased their offensive firepower, but it was Cincinnati that emerged victorious in a tightly contested battle that set the tone for the season ahead. Joe Burrow was the star of the day for Cincinnati, throwing for five touchdowns and leading his team to a crucial opening win. On the other side, Bo Nix put up a valiant effort for the Broncos, racking up 336 passing yards, while Courtland Sutton emerged as his favorite target with a remarkable 149 receiving yards. RJ Harvey added a solid 77 rushing yards, supporting Nix's aerial assault but ultimately falling just short. Defensively, the Bengals' Germaine Pratt made his presence felt with nine total tackles, helping to stifle Denver's scoring opportunities. A key moment came when DJ Turner II intercepted a pass, turning the momentum in favor of Cincinnati late in the game. Despite Kayvon Thibodeaux's sack being less impactful, the Bengals' defense managed to hold off the Broncos in the final moments, sealing the game and marking a strong start to their season.
