The Tampa Bay Buccaneers secured a commanding 41-20 victory over the New Orleans Saints in Week 2 of the 2027 season. This win not only boosts the Buccaneers’ momentum early in the season but also serves as a statement against a divisional rival. Baker Mayfield had an impressive outing, throwing for 316 yards and three touchdowns, showcasing his ability to lead the offense effectively. Bucky Irving contributed significantly on the ground, racking up 134 rushing yards, while the Buccaneers' passing game found rhythm early, putting pressure on the Saints’ defense. Defensively, the Saints struggled to contain the Buccaneers' offensive onslaught, but Leo Chenal stood out with nine total tackles, trying to anchor the defense.
