In a tightly contested matchup, the Jacksonville Jaguars narrowly defeated the Miami Dolphins 22-20 in Week 2 of the 2027 season. Both teams entered the game eager to secure an early footing in the season, but it was the Jaguars who ultimately emerged victorious at home. Trevor Lawrence led the charge for Jacksonville, throwing for 291 yards and a touchdown, showcasing his ability to move the ball effectively against the Dolphins' defense. On the other side, Tyreek Hill shone for Miami, racking up 122 receiving yards, while Blake Corum contributed on the ground with 55 rushing yards. Despite their efforts, the Dolphins fell just short of a comeback. Defensively, Miami's Jacob Rodriguez stood out with seven total tackles, but it was the Jaguars' ability to create stops at key moments that defined the game. The turning point came late in the fourth quarter when Jacksonville's defense stifled a potential game-winning drive by the Dolphins, forcing a critical turnover on downs. This defensive resilience allowed the Jaguars to hold off Miami's late surge and secure their second win of the season.
