In a closely contested matchup, the Green Bay Packers topped the Detroit Lions 28-21, securing their second victory of the season. The stakes were high for both teams, as they aimed to establish early dominance in the NFC North standings. Packers quarterback Jordan Love was the star of the show, throwing for 310 yards and two touchdowns, while Josh Jacobs contributed significantly on the ground with 88 rushing yards. Matthew Golden emerged as Love's favorite target, racking up 109 receiving yards that helped keep the Lions' defense on its heels throughout the game. Defensively, the Packers were led by Carrington Valentine, who recorded eight total tackles, and Micah Parsons, who added a crucial sack to disrupt the Lions' offensive rhythm. The turning point came late in the fourth quarter, when a key interception by the Packers' defense thwarted a potential game-tying drive, allowing Green Bay to hold on for the win.
