In a closely contested matchup, the Buffalo Bills narrowly defeated the New York Jets 24-20 in Week 6 of the 2027 season. Both teams were vying for crucial positioning as the playoff race heats up, but it was the Bills who emerged victorious on the road, maintaining their momentum in the league. Cade Klubnik put on a show for the Jets, throwing for a remarkable 332 yards and two touchdowns, showcasing his arm strength and precision. However, it was Khalil Shakir's standout performance with 125 receiving yards that helped the Bills sustain their offensive rhythm. Meanwhile, James Cook III contributed significantly on the ground with 78 rushing yards, providing Buffalo with a balanced attack throughout the game. Defensively, the Bills were impressive, led by Terrel Bernard's eight total tackles and Bray Hubbard's 1.5 sacks, which pressured Klubnik and disrupted the Jets' offensive flow. The turning point came late in the fourth quarter when Minkah Fitzpatrick intercepted a critical pass, giving the Jets a chance to tie the game. However, the Bills' defense held strong, sealing the victory and further solidifying their place in the standings.
