In a pivotal Week 9 matchup, the Detroit Lions topped the Green Bay Packers with a final score of 43-28, solidifying their playoff aspirations in the 2027 season. The stakes were high as both teams aimed to bolster their standings, but it was the Lions who emerged victorious, showcasing their offensive firepower. Darian Mensah led the Lions' offensive onslaught with 267 passing yards and two touchdown throws, effectively distributing the ball to his playmakers. Jahmyr Gibbs powered the ground game with an impressive 113 rushing yards, while DJ Moore was a standout in the receiving corps, racking up 137 yards and providing crucial big plays that kept the chains moving. On the defensive side, Jack Campbell made his impact felt with eight total tackles, helping to stifle the Packers' efforts. However, it was Micah Parsons of Green Bay who recorded 1.5 sacks, applying pressure on Mensah. The game turned decisively in the Lions' favor when they scored two quick touchdowns in the third quarter, shifting momentum and leaving the Packers scrambling to respond.
