In a high-octane showdown, the San Francisco 49ers secured a 41-23 victory over the Washington Commanders, improving their record to 5-1 on the season. The 49ers were looking to solidify their playoff position, while the Commanders aimed to bounce back after last week's loss. Brock Purdy led the charge for San Francisco, throwing for 275 yards and providing a steady offensive presence. Christian McCaffrey was a key contributor on the ground, racking up 94 rushing yards, while George Kittle was the favorite target, amassing 100 receiving yards. Jayden Daniels of the Commanders threw three touchdown passes, but it wasn’t enough to keep pace with the 49ers’ explosive offense. Defensively, the 49ers made pivotal plays that shifted the momentum. Malik Mustapha led the team with eight total tackles, consistently disrupting Washington's drives. A crucial turning point came when Dre Greenlaw intercepted a pass, halting a potential scoring drive and allowing San Francisco to extend their lead, ultimately sealing the game.
