In a commanding performance, the Washington Commanders decisively defeated the Houston Texans 47-15 in Week 14 of the 2026 season. With playoff implications on the line, Washington solidified their position in the standings with a dominant display at home. Jayden Daniels was the star of the night, throwing for an impressive 448 yards and six touchdowns, showcasing his precision and control throughout the game. His connection with the receiving corps kept the Texans' defense on their heels, while Justin Fields led Houston's ground game with a modest 54 rushing yards, unable to match the explosive offense of the Commanders. Defensively, Washington's unit played a pivotal role in the outcome, highlighted by Nick Cross's standout performance, which included three interceptions and six total tackles. The turning point came when Cross picked off a pass in the first half, shifting momentum firmly in favor of the Commanders and allowing them to build an insurmountable lead. Odafe Oweh added a sack to the mix, further disrupting Houston's rhythm and sealing the Texans' fate in this lopsided affair.
