The Chicago Bears narrowly defeated the Detroit Lions 26-20 in a tightly contested Week 12 matchup that had playoff implications for both teams. With this victory, the Bears solidified their position in the postseason race while the Lions struggled to maintain their momentum down the stretch. Leading the charge for Chicago was quarterback Caleb Williams, who threw for 265 yards, showcasing his ability to move the chains effectively. Despite a solid performance from Detroit's Jared Goff, who tossed two touchdowns, it was the Bears' balanced attack that ultimately made the difference. The Lions' Jahmyr Gibbs also had a strong showing with 92 rushing yards, but it was Chicago's efficiency that proved crucial. Defensively, the Lions made their presence known with standout performances, particularly from Aidan Hutchinson, who recorded 2.5 sacks, disrupting Chicago's offensive rhythm. However, the game’s turning point came when the Bears' defense held strong in the final moments, stifling a late Lions drive and sealing their victory. Jack Campbell led the way with ten tackles, but it wasn't enough to overcome the Bears' disciplined play when it mattered most.
