In a nail-biter that came down to the final moments, the New England Patriots narrowly defeated the New York Jets 16-15 in Week 6 of the 2026 season. With both teams fighting for position in the competitive AFC East, this matchup was critical for maintaining playoff hopes. Drake Maye led the Patriots' offense, throwing for two touchdowns and facilitating a balanced attack that included standout performances from TreVeyon Henderson, who not only rushed for 149 yards but also added 101 receiving yards. Cade Klubnik kept the Jets in contention with 206 passing yards but couldn't find the end zone, ultimately falling just short in the tight contest. Defensively, the Patriots' success was largely driven by Marcus Jones, who recorded five total tackles, and Adoree' Jackson, who made a crucial interception that shifted momentum in New England's favor. The turning point of the game came late in the fourth quarter when Maye connected with Henderson for a touchdown, giving the Patriots the lead and setting up a defensive stand that sealed the victory.
