In a commanding performance, the Miami Dolphins defeated the Kansas City Chiefs 41-12 in Week 3 of the 2026 season. With both teams looking to establish momentum early in the season, Miami made a statement with this decisive victory on their home turf. Miami's Malik Willis was the standout performer, showcasing his versatility by throwing for 289 yards and three touchdowns while also leading the ground game with 105 rushing yards. His ability to extend plays and find open receivers set the tone for the Dolphins' offensive explosion. Meanwhile, Jeff Caldwell of the Chiefs put up impressive numbers with 143 receiving yards, but it wasn’t enough to keep pace with Miami's offensive onslaught. Defensively, the Dolphins capitalized on key opportunities, highlighted by Jacob Rodriguez's standout performance, which included two interceptions and a sack. Miami's defense disrupted Kansas City's rhythm, particularly in the second half when they forced turnovers that shifted the momentum decisively. With the game on the line, Rodriguez's defensive plays were crucial in sealing the victory and propelling Miami to a dominant win.
