The Dallas Cowboys topped the Washington Commanders with a final score of 27-12 in Week 2 of the 2026 season. This victory not only boosts the Cowboys' confidence but also puts them in a strong position early in the season as they look to solidify their playoff aspirations. Dak Prescott led the Cowboys' offense with an impressive 251 passing yards, while Saquon Barkley added a solid 49 rushing yards to keep the ground game moving. Justin Jefferson was a standout in the receiving corps, racking up 81 yards and providing a reliable target for Prescott. Despite a lone touchdown pass from Jayden Daniels for the Commanders, their offensive efforts fell short against the Cowboys' balanced attack. On the defensive side, the Cowboys showcased a formidable performance, with Cobie Durant leading the way with eight total tackles and an interception. Von Miller also made his presence felt, recording 1.5 sacks that disrupted the Commanders' rhythm. The turning point came in the second half when Durant's interception shifted momentum back to the Cowboys, allowing them to extend their lead and ultimately secure the win.
