In a dominant performance to kick off the 2026 season, the New York Giants secured a convincing 17-0 victory over the Dallas Cowboys. The stakes were high as both teams aimed to set the tone for the season, but it was the Giants who emerged as the early frontrunners in the NFC East. Quarterback Jaxson Dart led the Giants' offense with a steady performance, throwing for a touchdown and contributing to the team's overall control of the game. Ashton Jeanty paced the ground attack with 39 rushing yards, while Dallas struggled to find rhythm against a stout New York defense. Justin Jefferson was the standout receiver for the Cowboys, racking up 80 receiving yards, but it wasn’t enough to spark a scoring drive. Defensively, the Giants were relentless, with Eric Stokes leading the charge with four total tackles. The turning point came when Jevon Holland snagged an interception, halting a promising Cowboys drive and maintaining New York’s momentum. Jonathan Greenard also made his presence felt, sacking Dak Prescott, which helped keep the Dallas offense off balance throughout the game.
