The Indianapolis Colts kicked off the 2027 season with a commanding 41-23 victory over the Denver Broncos. With this win, the Colts set the tone for their campaign, showcasing their offensive prowess while limiting the Broncos’ chances to mount a comeback. Bo Nix led the charge for the Broncos, throwing for 266 yards and two touchdowns, but it wasn't enough to keep pace with the Colts. RJ Harvey contributed significantly on the ground with 97 rushing yards, while Jake Johnson was a reliable target, racking up 103 receiving yards. Despite their individual performances, the Broncos struggled to find consistency as a unit. Defensively, the Colts made their presence felt, highlighted by DeForest Buckner's two sacks that disrupted Denver's rhythm, and Kelee Ringo’s five total tackles providing solid support. The turning point came when Camryn Bynum intercepted a pass in the second half, allowing the Colts to extend their lead and ultimately secure the win. The Colts' defense not only contained the Broncos but also generated crucial turnovers that shifted the momentum firmly in their favor.
