In a tightly contested battle, the New York Giants narrowly defeated the New Orleans Saints with a final score of 13-9, securing a crucial victory in Week 3 of the 2027 season. Both teams fought hard, but the Giants emerged victorious, showcasing their ability to grind out a win in a defensive struggle. Offensively, Cam Skattebo led the Giants with a remarkable 129 rushing yards, proving vital in moving the chains and controlling the tempo of the game. Tyler Shough of the Saints threw for 260 yards and connected for one touchdown, primarily targeting Adonai Mitchell, who tallied an impressive 130 receiving yards. However, the Giants' ground game ultimately provided the necessary edge to secure the win. Defensively, the Giants made a significant impact with David Stone registering two sacks, disrupting Shough's rhythm and putting pressure on the passing game. The turning point came late in the fourth quarter when the Giants' defense stood firm, stifling the Saints' final drive, allowing only a field goal and sealing their hard-fought victory. New York's ability to limit big plays and capitalize on key moments proved decisive in this low-scoring affair.
