In a decisive Week 3 matchup, the Washington Commanders topped the Atlanta Falcons with a final score of 29-17. The victory keeps the Commanders firmly in the playoff conversation as they look to build momentum early in the season. Jayden Daniels was the star of the night for Washington, throwing for 302 yards and two touchdowns, showcasing his ability to lead the offense effectively. Terry McLaurin also made a significant impact, racking up 92 receiving yards and providing crucial support in the passing game. Meanwhile, Bijan Robinson of the Falcons had a standout performance on the ground, rushing for 165 yards, but it wasn’t enough to secure a win. Defensively, the Commanders made key plays that shifted the momentum in their favor. Nick Cross's interception proved to be a turning point, halting a potential scoring drive for Atlanta and allowing Washington to extend their lead. While the Falcons had some defensive highlights, including a sack from James Pearce Jr., it was the Commanders' ability to capitalize on turnovers that ultimately secured their victory.
