In a tightly contested matchup, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers narrowly defeated the Atlanta Falcons 27-20 in Week 4 of the 2027 season. This victory was crucial for the Buccaneers as they strive to establish themselves in the competitive NFC South. Baker Mayfield was the star of the show for Tampa Bay, throwing for 310 yards and three touchdowns, showcasing his ability to lead the offense effectively. He connected particularly well with Emeka Egbuka, who racked up 96 receiving yards, providing Mayfield with a reliable target downfield. Meanwhile, Bijan Robinson led the Falcons' ground game with 78 rushing yards, but it wasn't enough to overcome the Buccaneers' offensive firepower. Defensively, the Buccaneers were a force, with Devin Lloyd making eight total tackles to anchor the unit. Rueben Bain Jr. contributed with a critical sack, while Antoine Winfield Jr. sealed the game with a timely interception. The turning point came in the fourth quarter when Winfield's pick halted a promising Falcons drive, allowing Tampa Bay to secure the win and maintain momentum in their season.
