In a tightly contested battle, the Jacksonville Jaguars narrowly defeated the Miami Dolphins 19-14 in Week 5 of the 2027 season. Both teams came into the game looking to solidify their standing in a competitive division, but it was the Jaguars who emerged victorious, showcasing their resilience late in the matchup. Trevor Lawrence led the Jaguars’ offensive charge, throwing for 235 yards while Bhayshul Tuten contributed significantly on the ground with 65 rushing yards. Despite the Dolphins’ Jacoby Brissett delivering two touchdown passes, it was Lawrence’s steady play and the ability to manage the clock that ultimately made the difference. The Jaguars' ability to mix up their play calling kept Miami's defense guessing throughout the game. Defensively, both teams had their moments, but it was Jacksonville's Travon Walker who made a crucial impact, registering a sack that pressured Brissett during a key drive. The turning point came late in the fourth quarter when Bobby Wagner intercepted a pass, giving the Dolphins a fleeting chance to tie the game. However, Jacksonville's defense held firm, ensuring they walked away with the win and improved their season record.
