In a commanding performance, the Houston Texans topped the Denver Broncos 45-14 in Week 9 of the 2028 season, solidifying their position as a formidable force in the league. The Texans entered the game looking to maintain momentum, and they did so with an impressive display of offensive firepower. C.J. Stroud led the charge for Houston, throwing for 281 yards and finding the end zone six times, showcasing his prowess as a top-tier quarterback. Ryan Wingo was his favorite target, racking up 117 receiving yards, while the Broncos' C.J. Baxter made a notable effort on the ground with 152 rushing yards, but it wasn't enough to keep pace with the Texans' explosive offense. Defensively, the Texans were relentless, with Danielle Hunter recording two sacks and Azeez Al-Shaair picking off two passes, disrupting Denver's rhythm throughout the game. The turning point came in the second quarter when Stroud threw three touchdown passes in a span of just five minutes, effectively putting the game out of reach for the Broncos and sealing a dominant victory for Houston.
