In a commanding performance, the Jacksonville Jaguars topped the Indianapolis Colts 35-14 in Week 9 of the 2027 season. The victory not only boosts Jacksonville's playoff hopes but also serves as a significant moment in their quest for dominance in the division. Trevor Lawrence was the standout performer, throwing for 321 yards and three touchdowns, showcasing his ability to stretch the field and connect with his receivers. Brenton Strange was a key target, racking up 100 receiving yards, while the Colts struggled to contain Jacksonville's offensive rhythm throughout the game. Breece Hall led the Colts on the ground with 72 rushing yards but could not keep pace with the Jaguars' explosive offense. Defensively, the Jaguars made critical plays, with Josh Hines-Allen leading the charge with two sacks, which disrupted the Colts' offensive flow. The game's turning point came in the second quarter when Lawrence connected on a deep touchdown pass that shifted the momentum firmly in Jacksonville's favor. Although Sauce Gardner picked off a pass for Indianapolis, it wasn't enough to change the outcome as the Jaguars' defense held strong against any late-game resurgence.
