The Washington Commanders topped the Pittsburgh Steelers 57-38 in a high-octane Week 7 showdown, solidifying their position in the playoff race. The victory was crucial for Washington as they aim for postseason contention, while the Steelers struggle to find their rhythm in a challenging season. Jayden Daniels was the star of the night, throwing for four touchdowns and leading his team to a commanding offensive performance. Antonio Williams added to the offensive fireworks with a dominant rushing display, amassing 104 yards on the ground, while Terry McLaurin shined in the receiving game with 121 yards and a touchdown catch. The combination of effective passing and a strong ground game kept Pittsburgh’s defense on its heels throughout the contest. Defensively, the Commanders made key plays that swung momentum in their favor. Odafe Oweh's 1.5 sacks put pressure on the Steelers' quarterback, while Sonny Styles' interception halted a potential scoring drive from Pittsburgh. The turning point came late in the second quarter when Washington's defense forced a turnover, allowing Daniels and the offense to extend their lead just before halftime, setting the tone for the rest of the game.
