In a commanding performance, the Kansas City Chiefs topped the Houston Texans 44-10 in Week 5 of the 2028 season. With this victory, the Chiefs solidify their status as a top contender, showcasing their offensive prowess and defensive tenacity. Patrick Mahomes led the charge for Kansas City, throwing for 175 yards and two touchdowns, while Kenneth Walker dominated on the ground with 113 rushing yards. The balanced attack was complemented by key contributions from the receiving corps, but it was Mahomes and Walker who truly made the difference in this matchup. Defensively, the Chiefs made their mark with Drue Tranquill leading the team with seven total tackles and L'Jarius Sneed adding an interception to the tally. The turning point came in the second quarter when Sneed's pick halted a Texans drive, allowing the Chiefs to extend their lead and never look back. Houston struggled to contain the relentless Kansas City defense, which effectively sealed the game early.
