In a commanding performance, the New York Jets triumphed over the San Francisco 49ers with a final score of 52-27 in Week 2 of the 2028 season. This victory not only boosts the Jets' early season momentum but also sends a clear message about their offensive firepower. Kyler Murray was the star of the night, throwing for an impressive 404 yards and six touchdowns, showcasing his elite playmaking ability. Meanwhile, Garrett Wilson was a key target, racking up 143 receiving yards and contributing significantly to the Jets' explosive offense. The combination of Murray's pinpoint accuracy and Wilson's big-play potential left the 49ers' secondary scrambling all game long. Defensively, Minkah Fitzpatrick was instrumental for the Jets, leading the team with eight tackles and securing an interception that shifted the game's momentum. The turning point came late in the second quarter when Fitzpatrick's pick set up another touchdown, extending the Jets' lead to a daunting 31-13. The 49ers struggled to recover from that blow, illustrating how critical defensive plays can shape the outcome of a game.
