The Kansas City Chiefs kicked off the 2028 season with a commanding 34-7 victory over the Las Vegas Raiders. With both teams looking to establish their dominance early in the season, it was the Chiefs who made a powerful statement, showcasing their offensive prowess and defensive tenacity. Patrick Mahomes led the charge for Kansas City, throwing for an impressive 336 yards and three touchdowns, effectively controlling the game from the pocket. His favorite target, Xavier Worthy, had a standout performance, racking up 218 receiving yards and making several explosive plays. In addition, Kenneth Walker contributed on the ground with 72 rushing yards, helping to balance the offensive attack. On the defensive side, the Chiefs were relentless, with Chris Jones recording two sacks to disrupt the Raiders’ offense. Drue Tranquill's two interceptions proved to be game-changing, halting any momentum Las Vegas hoped to build. The turning point came in the second quarter when Tranquill's first pick set up Mahomes for a quick touchdown, solidifying Kansas City's control and leaving the Raiders struggling to respond.
