The Denver Broncos narrowly defeated the East St Louis FLYERS with a final score of 40 to 34 in a thrilling Week 3 matchup of the 2027 season. Both teams fought hard, but the Broncos ultimately maintained their composure to secure the victory in a game that held significant playoff implications. Bo Nix led the Broncos' offense, throwing for three touchdowns and demonstrating efficiency in the passing game. Meanwhile, Dak Prescott of the FLYERS showcased his talent as well, racking up 331 passing yards, but ultimately fell short in the shootout. Jaydon Blue contributed significantly on the ground for East St Louis, rushing for 92 yards, while CeeDee Lamb was a standout in the receiving corps, accumulating 130 yards. Defensively, Denver's Trenton Simpson was a force with nine total tackles, helping to stifle the FLYERS' momentum when it mattered most. The game's turning point came late in the fourth quarter when Riley Moss intercepted Prescott, halting a potential game-winning drive and allowing the Broncos to run down the clock for the victory. Malachi Lawrence's two and a half sacks for East St Louis came too late to change the outcome, as Denver capitalized on key defensive plays to secure the win.
