In a dominant display, the Carolina Panthers topped the Jacksonville Jaguars 56-3 in Week 5 of the 2027 season. This matchup was crucial for both teams, but the Panthers made a statement with their powerful performance, solidifying their standing in the league. Haynes King was the star of the show for Carolina, throwing for 283 yards and five touchdowns, showcasing his ability to command the offense. Meanwhile, Isaac Brown led the ground attack with an impressive 164 rushing yards, while George Pickens consistently found openings in the Jaguars' defense, racking up 160 receiving yards. The Panthers' offensive firepower proved too much for Jacksonville to handle. Defensively, the Panthers also made their mark, with John Franklin-Myers recording a sack and Steven Gilmore snagging an interception, further stifling any hope for a Jaguars comeback. The game's turning point came early in the second quarter when the Panthers scored back-to-back touchdowns to extend their lead to 28-0. From that moment, the Jaguars struggled to regain their footing, ultimately succumbing to the Panthers' relentless onslaught.
