In a tightly contested matchup, the Miami Dolphins narrowly defeated the Washington Commanders, with a final score of 10-7. The stakes were high in Week 7 of the 2027 season, as both teams sought to bolster their playoff hopes amid a competitive landscape. Malik Willis was the standout performer for Miami, showcasing his dual-threat ability with 247 passing yards and a touchdown, while also connecting with Malik Washington for 102 receiving yards. On the ground, Ashton Jeanty led the Commanders, but his 57 rushing yards were not enough to swing the game in their favor. Defensively, Miami's Trevin Wallace made a significant impact with 1.5 sacks, consistently pressuring the Washington offense. The game’s turning point came late in the fourth quarter when Wallace’s pressure forced a crucial turnover, allowing Miami to maintain their slim lead. Meanwhile, Rasul Douglas's interception for Washington kept them in striking distance, but ultimately it wasn't enough to change the outcome.
